In July 2006, athletes representing the
NBA, NFL, NASCAR and WNBA came
together in New York City to brainstorm
a campaign challenging youth obesity.
More then 17 million American children
are affected by this epidemic. The
Professional Athletes Council is led by
Jerry Stackhouse (Dallas Mavericks) and
Allen Rossum (Atlanta Falcons) whom
have a mission to leverage their influence
with youth to become powerful role models
for healthy living.
